About Me

susan jefferson, artist bio

I’m the hands, heart, and imagination behind every piece of jewelry you see here.

From the moment I sketch a design to the final polish, each piece is created by hand in my home studio — a space filled with tools, color, and creative energy. I work with sterling and fine silver, vitreous enamel, and natural stones to create jewelry that’s bold, expressive, and one of a kind.

I’m endlessly inspired by color — the way it brings life to metal and helps each design tell its own story. Every element of my work is handcrafted using traditional tools and methods. In my studio, you’ll find torches, grinders, lapidary equipment, polishing machines, and a jewelry kiln, along with well-worn hammers that shape every curve and form.

There’s beauty in doing things the slow way — in fusing glass to silver with fire, in carving and setting each stone by hand, in polishing a piece until it feels just right in the hand.

This is more than jewelry. It’s a process. It’s passion. It’s personal.
And I hope you feel that every time you wear it.
